Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ – The Alfred University men's lacrosse team was dealt their second conference loss from Stevens Tech (18-9), Saturday afternoon on the road.
           
Alfred only trailed Stevens 5-4 at halftime and matched the Ducks in scoring in the third quarter (5-5), but Stevens pulled away in the fourth, outscoring AU 8-0 to seal the victory
           
For the game, senior midfielder Derek Green (Pittsburgh, PA/The Kiski School), sophomore midfielder Tanner Morse (Corning, NY/Corning East), and freshman midfielder Derek Bishopp (Livonia, NY/Livonia) each led the Saxons in scoring with two goals apiece.
           
Senior midfielder Brendan Sullivan (Stafford, VA/North Stafford) netted a goal and handed out three assists.
           
Senior defender Pat Walsh (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon-St. Jude) caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls for the Saxon defense.
          
Junior goalie Cody O'Connor (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) made nine saves in net during the entire course of the contest.
           
Alfred (2-5, 0-2 Empire 8) continues conference play against Elmira College on Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m.
