ALFRED, NY — Miasia Hillman (Buffalo, NY/Hutch Tech), a senior on the Alfred University women's indoor track and field team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week.
                
Hillman was honored for her performance at Saturday's 2014-15 season-opening College at Brockport Invitational. She won the 60-meter dash in 7.82 seconds, which was the second-fastest opening weekend time in the nation, and was just 1/100^th of a second off her own school record. Hillman did set a new school record while finishing second in the 300-meter dash in 42.70 seconds.
