ITHACA, NY – The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell 206-90 at Ithaca Saturday in the Saxons' last dual meet of the year.
Freshman
Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) had two wins to pace the Saxons (3-5), while junior
Chrissy Behr (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) had one. Staniszewski won the 200 freestyle (2:01.56) and 500 free (5:24.64) and took second in the 400 individual medley (4:54.99). Behr won the 50 free (25.72), was second in the 100 backstroke (1:04.09) and third in the 100 free (57.40).
Sophomore
Carly Watson (Hyde park, NY/FDR) was second in the 100 butterfly (1:04.08) and third in the 200 fly (2:24.65); sophomore K
elsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon) was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.96); and junior
Allison Derwallis (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Ludlow) was second in the 200 back (2:26.83).
AU is in action next at the Empire 8 Conference/Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association (UNYSCSA) championships, Feb. 19-22, at Ithaca College.
