OSWEGO, NY— The Alfred University men's soccer team wrapped up play in the second day of the Oswego tournament with a 1-0 win over Oswego State, Saturday afternoon.

The contest remained scoreless until the 80^th minute when freshman midfielder Oumar Soumahoro (New York, NY/Martin Luther King) netted the lone goal of the match, served from senior midfielder Jeffery Thomas (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) to seal the Saxons' win.

Sophomore Matthew Unick (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) went the distance in goal for AU, making three saves.

Soumahoro was named tournament MVP and Corrigan was named to the all-tournament team.

Alfred (1-1, 0-0 Empire 8) returns to action against Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m.
