ALFRED, NY — The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team dropped a close 124-119 decision to visiting RIT Friday evening at Lebohner Pool.
Freshman
Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) led AU with three individual event wins. She took the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:28.06), the 200-yard free (2:01.05), and the 500-yard free (5:35.14).
Sophomore
Carly Watson (Hyde Park, NY/FDR) won two events, while junior
Chrissy Behr (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional), senior
Cassie Brown (Canisteo, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood) and freshman
Kylee Proudfit (St. Marys, PA/Elk County Catholic) each won one.
Watson won the 200-yard IM (2:18.28) and 100-yard butterfly (1:01.00). Behr won the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.32) and took second in the 50-yard free (25.55); Brown won 3-meter diving (221.55 points) and took second in 1-meter diving (200.40 points); and Proudfit won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.43).

Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon) won the 200-yard medley relay (1:55.83).
AU women's team is in action next on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at William Smith.
