Zuke Smith scored two of the game’s five touchdowns on Saturday in the Saxons’ 24-17 win over Utica College and two of the Saxons’ three touchdowns. He opened the game up with a 75-yard quarterback-keeper on the opening play after the Pioneers kicked into the endzone for the touchback. He then scored the first touchdown of the second quarter to make it a 14-7 game. He led the game in overall yards with 277 total yards, having a game-high 142 net yards and two rushing touchdowns. He singlehandedly had more yards of offense than the entire Utica College offense and their 194 yards of offense. Smith went 11-for-28 passing for 135 yards and averaged 10.1 yards a carry on his 14 rushes.
