SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Sophomore Mary Baughman (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) took sixth  place to lead the Alfred University women's cross country team to a seventh-place finish Saturday at the Empire 8 Conference championship meet, held at Saratoga State Park.
 
Baughman completed the six-kilometer course in 18:15.00, while freshman Lindsay Piraino (Nunda, NY/Keshequa) was 23^rd in 19:31.50.
 
Senior Tracie Forrester (Gainesville, NY/Letchworth) was 43^rd in 21:22.80; junior Morgan Flick (Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) was 52^nd in 22:49.60; and freshman Teresa Fallon (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park) was 53^rd in 22:49.60.
 
Alfred is in action next on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the ECAC championships in Williamstown, MA.
