Before AU: Played football for Wayne Stonemetz and the Lions of Wellsville High School in Wellsville, NY...also was a thrower on the high school track and field team where he was a Section V Champion in discus and a team champion.

Personal: Parents are Brian and Deb Brandes...majors in accounting...also a member of the Alfred University football team.
