ALFRED, NY – Alfred University Athletics announced the hiring of
Ryan Rychlewski '26 as the new Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Rychlewski is familiar with the Alfred University Community, having graduated this past May with his degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science. Rychlewski is additionally certified in CPR/AED. Over the course of the 2026-27 academic year, Rychlewski will serve as the contact for men's and women's cross country, women's basketball, football (secondary), softball, and men's and women's track & field.

Ronald Demchak said. "Ryan excelled as a student here and his experience with Alfred University student-athletes will help him excel."
During his time with the Saxons, Rychlewski assisted the sports medicine department with clinical rotations dating back to August of 2023. Rychlewski completed over 900 clinical hours across various teams. Additionally, Rychlewski spent time at Wayland Family & Sports Medicine, observing various treatments and collaborating with athletic trainers and coaching staff members.
"I'm incredibly excited to return to the place that has given me so much and played such an important role in shaping me as a healthcare professional," Rychlewski said. "Alfred University means a great deal to me, especially because of the unwavering support, encouragement, and opportunities I received as a student. I'm truly grateful for the chance to give back to the university that helped me grow, and I'm looking forward to supporting our student-athletes and helping them succeed both on and off the field to the very best of my ability."
