Three Saxons Named to CSC All-District

GREENWOOD, IN – Three members of the Alfred University men's tennis team were selected to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, as announced on Tuesday.

Matthew Bittel (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville), Breece Erickson (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian) and Bill Tran (Hanoi, Vietnam/Grace Christian) were selected for this honor.

"I am continually impressed with these players for putting the STUDENT in student-athlete," Head Coach Jake Fisler said. "They have done a great job representing the program in the classroom while being a role model for other student-athletes by balancing intense academic workloads and performing at a high level athletically. I am very proud of their investments into their futures and can't wait to see all the great things they will accomplish."

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
