ALFRED, NY – Two throwers of the Alfred University men's track & field team competed in the Alfred State Sunday Meet at Alfred State College on Sunday.

Jason Crocker (Oreland, PA/Springfield Township) put on a show as he took first in both of his events. He threw for 14.20m (46'-7.25") to win the shot put. Crocker also registered a 39.72m (130'-4") throw to earn the gold in the discus throw.

Gabe Simone (Acton, MA/Landmark) joined Crocker in the discus throw placing 15^th overall at 24.50m (80'-4").

The Saxons will travel to SUNY Brockport for the Empire 8 Championships on May 2-3. The competition is set to start on Friday at 2:00 PM.
