PITTSFORD, NY – The Alfred University hunt seat equestrian team earned the Rochester Institute of Technology day one High Point Team title on Saturday morning and afternoon at Lehman Farms.
 
Will Utzman (Fairport, NY/Fairport) and Maggie Childs (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) tied for High Point Rider but after a question-off tiebreaker, Utzman claimed the title while Childs earned Reserve High Point Rider for the day.
 
Utzman earned his first blue ribbon of the day in Intermediate Fences while picking up a second one in Limit Flat. Childs took home first in Intermediate Flat and then for Open Fences.
 
Joining Utzman and Childs as blue ribbon holders, Lucia Jackson-Young (Ithaca, NY/Lehman Alternative Community School) earned first in Limit Flat, Stephen Kuss IV (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) won Limit Flat (rode in a different split than Jackson-Young), Keira Sims (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) earned first in Novice and Ellie Smith (Hyde Park, MA/Boston Latin School) took home the top ribbon in Pre-Novice.
