ITHACA, NY – The Alfred University hunt seat equestrian team competed at Cornell University on Sunday morning, narrowly missing Reserve Champion status.
In the first showing since November 15, 2025, the Saxons finished third with 33 points, right behind Binghamton University with 37 points as the Reserve Champion. The show's Champion team was the host, Cornell University with 47 points.
Maggie Childs (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) and
Lucia Jackson-Young (Ithaca, NY/Lehman Alternative Community School) both brought home first place finish ribbons on Sunday. Childs won Open Fences Section B while Young-Jackson took home the blue ribbon in Limit Flat Section C.
