TRYON, NC – The Alfred University hunt seat equestrian team was represented at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships from the Tryon International Equestrian Center on Saturday by Maggie Childs (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas).

Childs competed in the Cacchione Cup, the competition in the IHSA Nationals where only the individuals who had the most accumulated points throughout the regular season in each of the national zones. On Saturday, Childs competed in both the over fences and the flat. She earned Honorable Mention on Saturday.

The junior looks to return to Tryon next season as well as more members of the Alfred University hunt seat equestrian team.
