ALFRED, NY – Alfred University Athletics has announced the appointment of
Garret Eldridge as the Head Men's Soccer Coach.

Over the past four years, Eldridge served as the Men's Soccer Coach at Ithaca College. During his time with the Bombers, Eldridge led the program to the Liberty League Championship match during the 2021 and 2023 seasons. During the 2021 season, Ithaca set the Liberty League record for goals against. Eldridge additionally developed six student-athletes into becoming All-Liberty League honorees with two earning regional All-American awards. In three of the past four seasons, Eldridge's teams were either regionally or nationally ranked at some point during the season.
Before being promoted as the Head Coach, Eldridge worked as Ithaca College's Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, where he was responsible for streamlining all recruiting efforts, coordinating team travel, and overseeing their team wearable technology to aid in performance and fitness. During Eldridge's time as the Bomber's Assistant Coach, the team achieved a two-year record of 27-8-4 and earned a bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. The Bombers beat Keene State in the first round and lost to the then #1 seed Amherst College in the second round.

Prior to his time with Ithaca, Eldridge was the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Arcadia University from 2016-18. During his time with the Knights, the men's soccer program earned back-to-back ECAC Tournament appearances. Eldridge additionally served as an Assistant Coach with Ursinus College from 2015-16, working primarily with midfielders and forwards.
An Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-League midfielder, Eldridge started his collegiate playing career at NCAA Division I Siena College before transferring to NCAA Division III Roanoke College. Eldridge graduated from Roanoke College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
Following graduation, Eldridge played professionally in Australia for the Sunshine Coast Fire FC.
With his hiring, Eldridge becomes the ninth men's soccer coach in the 60-year history of the program.
