Brockport, NY -- The Alfred University Women's Cross Country side wrapped up an eighth place finish at the Tom Balon Alumni Classic hosted by SUNY Brockport Saturday afternoon.
"We built on our momentum from last week's race and had a great day," Head Coach
Matt Phillips said. The course allowed us to work on our pacing and ability to push in the middle section of the race."
A total of 212 points were accumulated by the Saxons, led by a valiant effort from first-yearÂ
Alivia Kocan (Hornell, NY/Arkport Central). She finished 36th overall with a time of 22:04.9.
Annabelle Townsend (Woodsville, NH/Woodsville) was second for the Saxons and 64th overall with a 23:46.7, followed by
Desirea Stuart (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) at 24:08.6.
Mia R. Frazier (Cliffside Park, NJ/Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter) wound up fourth for Alfred at 24:30.7 ahead of
