Amelia Booth (Staatsburg, NY/FDR) of the Alfred University women's lacrosse team was named as the Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week, as announced on Monday.
Booth led the Alfred University women's lacrosse team through two matchups this past week, including a shutout win over Hilbert College. The shutout victory for the Saxons marked their first dating back to the 2010 season. In the win, Booth totaled a team-high five points from three goals and two assists. Booth recorded 12 shots, five of which were on goal. She was additionally credited with four draw controls. Against SUNY Potsdam, Booth scored three goals to go with two assists. Booth finished the game with seven shots with five being on goal. She was additionally responsible for four ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls. Overall, Booth finished the week with six goals and four assists for Alfred University.
Booth and Alfred University will next travel to face Daemen University (NY) on Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
