GENESEO, NY -- Alfred University's Women's Cross Country ran at the 43rd Annual Mike Woods Geneseo Invitational on Saturday morning.
"Great day today, the weather warmed us up nicely for the races," head coach
Matt Phillips said. "Three of our four ladies ran their best today."
Alivia Kocan (Hornell, NY/Arkport Central) was the highest-finishing Saxon runner. She wrapped up a time of 25:40.1 in the invitational and moved up 64 spots from her starting spot. Just behind her was
McKenzie Hall (Hornell, NY/Hornell) with a 26:08.4 in the 6K race.
Finishing third for Alfred University was
Desirea Stuart (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg), finishing up with a time of 27:38.4, who moved up 40 positions from her starting spot. The final finisher for the Saxons was
Annabelle Townsend (Woodsville, NH/Woodsville), coming in at 28:04.8.
Next up is cross country's Saxon-for-Saxon day and Empire 8 Championship day on November 2 at Houghton University. The running gets started at 11 am.
