ALFRED, NY – Sophomore
Amelia Booth (Staatsburg, NY/FDR) of the Alfred University women's lacrosse team was named to the All-Empire 8 Second Team on Monday afternoon, as announced by associate commissioner
Joe Venniro.
"Amelia is proving herself to be one of the strongest attackers in the league," Head Coach
Julie Decker said. Ceci is the glue of our defensive unit, stepped up into a midfielder role for us this year, and always competes with the utmost class and integrity. It's great to see both of them honored by the conference!"
During Booth's second season with the program, she claimed the program record with 211 career draw controls. Booth finished with a team-high 51 points from 41 goals and 10 assists. Booth additionally picked up 22 ground balls while causing five turnovers for the Saxons this spring. Booth finished third in the Empire 8 conference with 6.15 draw controls per game, while ranking seventh with 3.15 goals per game

Ceci Sherwood (Indiana, PA/Indiana) was recognized as the Alfred University representative for the Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year.
