ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Brewster Marshall (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) has earned his fourth Empire 8 Weekly Honor during his final season as a Saxon, having been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro.
 
Marshall was instrumental for the Alfred University men's basketball team, who defeated Elmira College 71-61 during their Senior Day on Saturday afternoon. Marshall finished the game with a team-high 29 points, just two shy of his career-high. Marshall additionally totaled seven rebounds in the win. From the floor, Marshall shot 11-of-17 and was responsible for 13 of Alfred's first 19 points in the first half. From 3-point range, Marshall had a career-high shooting performance, finishing 7-of-9. 
 
Marshall was joined on Monday by Neil Peters (The Bronx, NY/Dewitt Clinton) as the Empire 8 Men's Track Athlete of the Week.
