ALFRED, NY – The Empire 8 recognized Chase Freeland (Hornell, NY/Hornell) as the Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, after an official announcement from Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro.
 
Freeland had a foot on every single goal this past week. He started off by assisting Christian Moon's goal against Nazareth College and then scored both goals against Houghton University. He had six shots on the week.
 
Freeland and the Saxons will next host Elmira College on Wednesday with the first half scheduled for 4:00 PM. On Saturday, AU remains in conference competition when they travel to face Russell Sage College at 4:00 PM.
