ALFRED, NY – For the second week in a row, Alfred University men's basketball's Kenneth Allison Jr. (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) was named the Empire 8 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week as made official in an announcement from Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday afternoon.
 
Allison was an all-around threat as he posted strong assists, rebounds and point numbers. He totaled 21 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists and stole the ball twice in the three-game week. He smashed his career-high in assists with nine in a win over Elmira while tacking on seven points and five rebounds. Allison also set new collegiate career-highs in total rebounds and defensive rebounds as he totaled nine against Russell Sage College with eight defensive boards.
 
Allison and the Saxons will next host St. John Fisher College in Empire 8 action tonight at 7:30pm in the Terry S. Galanis Family Arena.
