ALFRED, NY – Sophomore Emiliano Terrazas (La Paz, Bolivia/Saint Andrew's) competed in his second meet of the 2021-22 season and has another Empire 8 Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week to show for it after an official announcement by Associate Commissioner, Joe Venniro on Monday.
 
Terrazas was perfect in his races on Friday at Nazareth College as he teamed with Phil Volaski (Poughquag, NY/Arlington), Colby Watkins and Alessandro Lagos Canales (Tegucigalpa, Honduras/Escuela e Instituo Lincoln) to win the 400-meter medley relay with a commanding time of 4:04.86, defeating the Naz A-Team's time of 4:12.83. He then won the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:16.46 before ending his night with a 1:08.04 victory in the 100-meter breaststroke. The Saxons swept the 100-meter breaststroke as Terrazas out-raced the Nazareth swimmers by over four seconds.
 
Terrazas was also named a Saxon of the Week on Monday, being joined by women's soccer's Alyssa Smith (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River). Also from women's soccer was Jacey Palmgreen (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) who joined Terrazas on the E8 Weekly Awards as the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Sai Baraka (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) rounded out the weekly awards as he was the Empire 8 Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Terrazas and the Saxons will next host University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Friday, November 5 at 5:00pm in the McLane Natatorium.
