ALFRED, NY—Junior Oumar Soumahoro (New York, NY/Martin Luther King) has been named the Empire 8 Player of the Week following his performances against Oswego State and St. John Fisher College last week.
 
Soumahoro is being recognized as the Empire 8 Player of the Week after scoring five times in two games.  He scored twice against SUNY Oswego State in a tie and netted his first career hat trick against St. John Fisher College to lead the Saxons to a 4-0 win over their Empire 8 foe.  In seven games this season, Soumahoro has scored six goals while adding three assists. 
 
The Saxons (5-1-1, E8 1-0-0) return to action against Kings College (PA) Wednesday afternoon on the road at 7PM.
