Whitehead's Defensive Play Earns Him Empire 8 Player Of The Week

ALFRED, NY -- Senior linebacker Holden Whitehead (Mill Hill, PA/Central Mountain) has been tabbed as the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 7 through September 13 for his performance on the field against Rensselear Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon.

Whitehead led the Saxons with 10 total tackles on Saturday in a rainy battle with the visiting Engineers. Six of Whitehead's 10 tackles were off of solo efforts while earning four assisted tackles. He also had one tackle for a loss of two yards.

Whitehead and the Saxons return to The Pit on Saturday for a 1:00 pm start against the visiting Bengals of Buffalo State.
