ALFRED, NY – Eric Adams (Lebanon, NJ/Hunterdon Central), a junior forward on Alfred University men's basketball team, has earned weekly honors from the Empire 8 Conference.

Adams was named Empire 8 Player of the Week, the conference announced today. He was honored for his play in in two Saxon road wins last week, in which he averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds while shooting a combined 75 percent (15 of 20) from the field.

He scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 70-58 victory of Keuka, then netted 18 points on 9-of-10 shooting and grabbed 11 boards in a 91-74 win against Hilbert.

The 6-3 Adams has posted point-rebound double-doubles in four of five games this year and on the season is averaging 13.6 points and 12.2 rebounds.

Alfred (4-1) is in action next on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. at SUNY Fredonia.
