Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ALFRED, NY — Dylan Molloy (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa), a freshman guard on the Alfred University men's basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week.

Molloy was honored for his play in two non-conference games last week – wins over visiting Wells College Nov. 19 and at SUNY Canton Nov. 23 – in which he averaged 14 points, five assists and three steals. In the win over Canton, he had 25 points – shooting seven-of-13 from the field (three-of-six on three-point shots) and eight-for-eight from the foul line – to go with five assists and five steals.

Alfred is 3-0 on the season and plays next on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Hilbert.
