Box Score PITTSFORD, NY- The Alfred University men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 Empire 8 matchup to St. John Fisher, Saturday afternoon, on the road.
The Cardinals jumped to an early 2-0 lead, scoring goals at the 6^th and 26^th minutes. Freshman forward Mason Vreugde (Lake George, NY/Lake George Central) brought the Saxons within one after netting a goal served by freshman midfielder Oumar Soumahoro (New York, NY/Martin Luther King). St. John Fisher led 2-1 at intermission.
St. John Fisher scored another goal in the second half to seal a 3-1 victory.
Senior goalie Samuel Guy (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) played the full 90 minutes in goal for Alfred and made four saves.
AU (4-8-0, 0-3-0 Empire 8) faces Buffalo State on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
