ALFRED, NY — Zac Toth (Lockport, NY/Starpoint), a senior on the Alfred University men's swimming and diving team, has earned the AU Male Athlete of the Week.
 
Toth was also named the Empire 8 Male Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Monday. He is being honored for his performance in the Saxons' 140-102 season-opening dual meet win over visiting Nazareth College on Saturday. Toth won two individual events -- the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.86) and 100-yard butterfly (54.29) – and swam a 23.38 butterfly leg on the Saxons' winning 200-yard medley relay.

Alfred is in action next on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. at RIT
