Spila had the longest meet out of any athlete at the Houghton Highlander December Classic as she competed in six events (seven with prelims) on Friday evening. Her top performance came in the 60-meter hurdles as she posted an All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying time of 9.44 in preliminaries and was the top time going into finals. She ended in second place overall with a time of 9.68. Spila teamed with Zoe Rainville, Annabelle Townsend and Octavia Fred in the 4x200-meter relay to finish second with a time of 1:56.49. She added a fifth place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.95m (16’-3”) and a 10^th place finish in the shot put with a toss of 9.84m (32’-3.5”). Spila also competed in the 800-meter run and the high jump to close out her long evening. Spila was named a Saxon of the Week for her efforts.
