ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Ally Boulger (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) was named as one of the Empire 8 Softball Co-Players of the Week on Monday.
 
Boulger helped the Saxons extend their win streak to 10 with six Empire 8 victories on the week. The sophomore batted an incredible .714 with 15 hits (three of them were doubles and one home run), 10 runs and seven RBI. She was 1-for-1 in stolen bases and walked once with no strikeouts. Boulger's home run against Elmira College was the game-winning RBI and run. She later had the game-tying RBI in the first game against Keuka College as well as the game-winning RBI in the same contest. In three games, she was perfect at the plate. First, she went 3-for-3 in the second game against Houghton, then went 3-for-3 in the nightcap against Elmira and ended with an impressive, 4-for-4 in the finale at Keuka College. Alternating as a third base player and designated player, Boulger totaled four putouts and one assist. 
 
Boulger was joined in the Empire 8 listing by Cole Loewke (Hilton, NY/Hilton) as one of the Men's Lacrosse Co-Offensive Players of the Week. Both Boulger and Loewke were named Saxons of the Week on Monday as well.
