GREENWOOD, IN – Three members of the Alfred University softball team were selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, as announced on Tuesday.

Kendall Steward (Kennedy, NY/Randolph), Molly Whitmyer (Enola, PA/Trinity) and Brielle Wark (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) were the three selections for Alfred University. 

"This is a well-deserved honor for these ladies," Head Coach Luke Wesneski said. "Not only did they get after it on the field, but are also being recognized for what they accomplished in the classroom! We are very proud of their efforts and for the efforts of the entire team, with a 3.51 semester GPA!"

The 2026 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
