ELMIRA, NY – The Alfred University baseball team began their week with a competitive 13-7 loss to Elmira College on Tuesday afternoon.

Zachary Haggerty (Hollywood, FL/Dr. Michael Krop) sparked the AU offense in the opening inning with an RBI single to right field, driving in

Later in the seventh inning, Alfred University found momentum thanks to a sacrifice fly from
Angelo DeFilippis (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic). In the same inning, Brocklebank and
Nolan Pridmore (Toronto, ON, Canada/Etobicoke Collegiate Institute) were each credited with RBI as the Saxons regained the lead. The Soaring Eagles answered with six runs in the eighth inning to ultimately come away with the win.
Alfred University will next travel to face SUNY Brockport on Friday at 3:00 PM.
