ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Kiani Barnard-Pratt (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) was named an Empire 8 Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
 
This is Barnard-Pratt's seventh career weekly recognition from the Empire 8. Having been tied with women's volleyball's Amber Smith '20 and women's lacrosse's Alyssa Piechota '24 with six, her seventh now makes her the sole athlete with seven E8 Weekly Awards.
 
Barnard-Pratt was key in goal for the Saxons this past week, who competed against SUNY Cortland and Russell Sage College. Against Cortland, Barnard-Pratt recorded a season-high 11 saves for Alfred University. In a 2-0 win against Russell Sage, Barnard-Pratt picked up four saves as part of her 25th career shutout performance. This fall, Barnard-Pratt has registered five shutouts with Alfred University.
