ALFRED, NY – Alfred University Athletics welcomes
Andrew Morling '25 following his hiring as the new Assistant Athletic Trainer. Morling will begin for the Saxons prior to the 2025-26 season.
Morling has a rich history with Alfred University, having competed as a member of the football team from 2021-24. During his time with the Saxons, Morling was a six-time Empire 8 President's List honoree, seven-time Dean's List member, and a seven-time Saxon Scholar Athlete. Morling was additionally listed on the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma.
"I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to return to Alfred and give back to the place that gave me so much," Morling said. "I'm truly thrilled to support the student-athletes the same way I was supported during my time here. It's an amazing feeling to receive such a warm welcome back, and I can't wait to begin this next chapter in a place that feels like home. Go Saxons!"
Outside of Alfred University, Morling served as an aide for the Canisteo Greenwood Central School District. Morling provided individual care, utilizing adaptive equipment to enable disabled children to participate with their peers across all settings.

Morling graduated with his bachelor's degree in athletic training in May of 2025. He is additionally certified in CPR and AED through the American Red Cross.
