Jessica Remm (Carmel, IN/Carmel) of the Alfred University softball team was named as the Empire 8 Softball Co-Player of the Week, as the conference announced on Monday.
Remm had another big week during the final five games of the regular season, with three of them being wins for Alfred University. She registered six runs, eight hits and 12 RBI. Remm also posted three stolen bases, three doubles, two walks, one triple and one home run. She broke the school's single season record for RBI with 55 during Alfred University's final regular season game at SUNY Poly. Remm hit a triple in the top of the fifth inning to surpass Jesika LeBarron '10 for the honor. She is currently second in program history in career RBI. She went 3-for-5, homered, and had five RBIs in game one against nationally ranked Ithaca on Thursday. It is her second E8 weekly accolade of the season.
Alfred University will next compete in the Empire 8 Championship Tournament as the No. 2 this week.
