ALFRED, NY – Alfred University athletic department announced today that the annual Saxon Golf Classic will be paused for one year to reconstruct the event for greater future success. The annual event, held during the Alfred University reunion weekend, will resume in 2026 at the Wellsville Country Club.

In place of the golf outing, on Friday, June 6, 2025, the AU Athletic Department will host an Athletics Alumni Celebration in Connors Pavilion at Yunevich Stadium. Alfred University alumni and their guests are encouraged to attend. The event will feature an athletics staff meet and greet, yard games, music, video highlights, and light refreshments. In addition, Saxon Hill Sports Complex tours will be available at 3:00 pm. The tours will depart from the McLane parking lot.
