ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University men's lacrosse team played its final home game of the season, falling to SUNY Geneseo (10-6, 7-2 Empire 8) by a score of 15-5 on Wednesday.

Brendan Riley (Fairport, NY/Fairport) scored the first goal of the game for the Saxons (5-9, 3-6 Empire 8) in the final seconds of the third period.

Alfred University also had goals from Aaron Aepelbacher (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads), Sam Crosby (Auburn, NY/Auburn), Kevin Matson (Chenango Bridge, NY/Chenango Forks) and Cole Loewke (Hilton, NY/Hilton).

The Saxons play their final regular season game at SUNY Poly on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
