HOUGHTON, NY -- The Alfred University men's tennis team dropped their match-up with St. John Fisher 6-3 on Friday afternoon.
"This was a tough one. We showed we have grown so much as a team, but there's still room to improve," Head Coach
Jake Fisler said. "There were a lot of close matches that didn't go our way, but the energy and team atmosphere was impeccable. The only way to get what we want is to continue to buy into the process and continue to put in the work."
AU did manage a sweep with
Breece Erickson (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian). He was paired alongside
Ricardo Alvarez Janik (La Orotava, Spain/Colegio Casa Azul) in their 8-2 doubles win. Erickson took care of business in singles match in two sets, 6-1 and 6-3.
