ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University western equestrian team claimed the AM show High Point Team honor at the Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center at Maris Cuneo Equine Park on Saturday while earning Reserve High Point Team to conclude the regular season.
 
Emma Suplicki (East Concord, NY/Holland) led the way on Saturday as the AM's High Point Rider, followed by Brooke Boyko (Holley, NY/Holley) as the Reserve High Point Rider. Suplicki won Open Reining and Open Horsemanship to earn the title. Boyko took the blue ribbon in Level II Horsemanship while earning third in Level II Ranch Riding.
 
Other first place finishers for the Saxons to help claim High Point Team were Joslyn Dukich (Massillon, OH/Tuslaw) in Rookie Horsemanship, Brielle Ross (Sigel, PA/Brookville Junior/Senior) in Beginner Horsemanship and Samantha Smit (Columbiana, OH/Ursuline) in Level II Ranch Riding.
 
In the PM show, Alfred State College was the High Point Team with AU following suit. Emily Peluso (Johnsonburg, PA/Johnsonburg) picked up a victory in Level I Horsemanship and Johna Wettstein (Millville, NJ/The Grier School) won Level I Ranch Riding (Exhibition).
