NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Alfred University men's and women's cross country teams were named to the Fall '24 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team on Monday.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

The men earned a 3.36 GPA, tying for third with SUNY Geneseo among the Empire 8 teams. The women finished sixth in the league with a 3.15 mark.

Eight men were selected to the Dean's List with five earning a spot on the E8 President's List. Three were named Saxon Scholar Athletes after posting 3.2 or higher.

Five women made the Dean's List while an two earned recognition as Saxon Scholar Athletes. Natalya Ryckman (New Eagle, PA/Ringgold) was the lone Saxon named to the E8 President's List.
