ALFRED, NY – Alfred University's Isabelle Dennis (Livonia, NY/Livonia) was named the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday morning.
 
Dennis helped the Saxons clinch a spot in the Empire 8 playoffs with an 11-0 win over SUNY Poly on Wednesday. She recorded four assists in the win. The mark breaks the AU school record (since 2000) and ties the Empire 8 record for most in a single game. She ties Nazareth's Michelle Urbanski and Jaime Snyder and Ithaca's Jessica DiManno. It was the most assists in a single game since Snyder's four against Hartwick in 2001. Dennis also put up two shots of her own on Wednesday.
