ALFRED, NY – The next Alfred Cup event is set for Saturday, November 8 at 1:00pm as the Saxon football team will travel across the street to meet the Alfred State squad at Pioneer Stadium.
 
To this point, Alfred University has earned points towards the Alfred Cup overall scoreboard following wins in women's soccer and volleyball. Alfred State has picked up points following victories in men's soccer, men's cross country, and women's cross country. Each win earns two points and ties earn one point for the Alfred Cup competition.
 
Alfred University and Alfred State College football teams will additionally compete for the 'Traffic Light Trophy', which will be up for grabs each fall moving forward. The Traffic Light Trophy is presented by the Power & Construction Group, who are proud partners of both programs.
 
Ticket Information
All general admission prices will be $10, cash only, with youth ages 12 and under receiving free admission. A portion of the ticket fee will support the Alfred-Almond Youth Sports Organization. Alfred University students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid AU ID.
 
The Pioneer Stadium ticket gate will be open one hour prior to kickoff. There will be no advanced ticket sales.
 
Parking
Alfred University fans are encouraged to park in the bottom two tiers, lots 18 and 19, outside of the Alfred State Pioneer Stadium.
 
Supporting Local Organizations
At each contest cash and/or pantry stable food donations will be collected. The proceeds and donated goods from these efforts will benefit two local organizations, reinforcing our shared commitment to service and camaraderie.
 
Donations during the 2025-26 Alfred Cup events will go to these community organizations:
 

• Alfred Area Food Pantry (nonperishable food donations)
• Alfred Almond Community Youth Sports Association (cash donations)

 
In addition, both football teams support the National Bone Marrow Program. Alfred University football organizes a bone marrow donor registration drive each spring.
 
Fan Participation
At each contest, AU & ASC faculty, staff and alumni can sign up to win a grand prize. This is an attendance-based competition. Participants may submit one entry for each contest they attend, with each additional event attended increasing their chances of winning. The grand prize drawing will take place at the end of the school year. Stop by the Alfred University Alumni Relations tent to enter the contest.
