ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's tennis team will face No. 4 St. John Fisher University in the first round of the Empire 8 Championship Tournament hosted by Nazareth University on Tuesday.

After missing the postseason a year ago, the Saxons are back as the No. 5 seed after producing a 10-4 overall record with 5-3 in E8 play. AU defeated Houghton University on Wednesday, October 8, to clinch a playoff spot.
