HOUGHTON, NY – The Alfred University men's cross country team finished 13^th at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday.
 
Seth Stevens (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) was the first Saxon to cross the finish line, running a 27:14.0 to score 47 points in 67^th place. Jacob Taylor (Cohocton, NY/Avoca) was close behind with a time of 27:16.4 in 70^th place. Evan Foran (Vestal, NY/Vestal), Jonathan Hodges (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Aidan Bieron (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) closed out the top five scoring finishers with times of 30:12.9, 30:25.3 and 30:43.0, respectively.
 
The Saxons will next travel to Gettysburg College for a race on Saturday, October 18, just ahead of the Empire 8 Championships hosted by St. John Fisher University on November 1.
