QUEENSBURY, NY -- The Alfred University women's alpine skiing squad traveled across New York to take on the slopes of West Mountain to open the 2025 campaign.
First-year skier

Her Saturday giant Slalom time came in at 3:17.97, thanks to an almost seven-second improvement on her second run down the hill. Pollack was the only the finisher on Sunday during the Slalom as well, clocking in with a 3:25.55.
Other Saturday finishers included
Gail Miller (Dayton, OH/Park School of Buffalo) with a combined time of 3:44.25, and
Sophia Lazarenko (Buffalo, NY/Park School of Buffalo) with a 4:06.13.
Zoe Rainville (Saranac, NY/Saranac) and
Yuliia Koreiba (Kyiv, Ukraine/Gymnasium 315) will look to get finishing times in the next weekend of competition.
The Saxons will be eager to show their stuff again on the slopes this weekend at Labrador Mountain on Saturday for the giant slalom, and on Sunday at Greek Peak Resort in the slalom.
