GREENWOOD, IN – Three members of the Alfred University softball team were named as members of the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, as announced on Tuesday.
 
Megan Bennett (Athens, PA/Athens Area), Abigail Gatza (Burlington, ON, Canada/Assumption Catholic) and Jessica Remm (Carmel, IN/Carmel) were all selected as All-District honorees.
 
"We are always so proud of the academic efforts of our players," Head Coach Luke Wesneski said. "School is, and always will be, the most important aspect of the college experience. Abby, Megan and Jess certainly embrace this philosophy and not only do they take care of business in the classroom, but on the field as well. We are extremely proud of their all-around efforts this year."
 
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
