ALFRED, NY - The Alfred University Men's Tennis team dropped a non-conference match by a score of 8-1 against SUNY Oswego on Tuesday afternoon. 

"It was great to be able to play in Alfred in front of our fans today." Head Coach Jordan Crouch said. "Unfortunately the result wasn't what we had hoped for but Oswego is a strong team and they've had a lot of success this year already." 

In doubles action, Mike Roberts (Alfred Station, NY/Alfred-Almond) and Nick Flemmer (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) picked up the Saxons lone win of the day in an intense back-and-fourth match by a score of 8-6 from the No. 2 spot. 

"We showed great signs but just haven't put together a complete match yet. Excited to get back to practice tomorrow to get ready for Houghton and Oneonta this weekend!!" Head Coach Jordan Crouch said.

Alfred University will next play at home against Houghton University on Friday, April 12th at 4:00 PM.
