HOUGHTON, NY - The Alfred University Men's Tennis came up short against Houghton University on Friday afternoon, losing by a score of 9-0.
In doubles action, each of Alfred's duos kept it close, scoring more than 4 points in all of the matches, but all were narrowly edged out by Houghton's doubles teams. This let Houghton get out to an early 3-0 lead and the Saxons weren't able to mount a comeback in singles.
"Tough one today." Head Coach Jordan Crouch said. "Frustrated about the result, but we learned a lot. Back to practice and to get ready for next weekend. Go Saxons!"
Alfred University will next play on the road at St. John Fisher University on Friday, April 19th at 4:00 PM.
