ROCHESTER, NY - The Alfred University Men's Tennis team fell to Nazareth University by a score of 8-1 on Friday, April 5th.
In doubles action, Walker Waldon (Wellsville, NY/Wellsville) and Breece Erickson (Goshen, IN/Bethany Christian) lost in a highly contested match from the #2 spot by a scored of 8-6.
"Nazareth has been a strong team in our conference for years. We knew today would be a tall task for us." Head Coach Jordan Crouch said.
Erickson was the lone Saxon to win his matchup in singles. He played from the #2 spot and won in two sets by a score of 6-3 in both.
Nick Flemmer (Corning, NY/Corning-Painted Post) and Waldon both lost in a third tiebreak set in their respective matches. The Saxons had many close matches on the day, but weren't able to flip the scores in their favor.

Alfred University will next play at home against St. John Fisher College on Saturday, April 6th at 5:30 PM.
